Social Studies
The sixth grade will have the opportunity to explore the first portion of the Ancient World curriculum, using the Ancient History Alive! textbooks. The class will begin with a quick mapping and geography unit and move into the Paleolithic Age, Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece and possibly Rome. Students will be expected to complete a current events project for each unit, in addition to their regular social studies work.
Grading: Materials:
Classwork/Homework*: 45% 3-Ring Binder and Dividers
Tests/Quizzes**: 20% Loose Leaf Paper
Current Events: 10%
Participation: 25%
